The unimportance of being right

We can think of the world as people and culture, communities crossing over.
We can think of the world as market forces.
We can think of the world as atoms and molecules and quarks and laws and the what-not of whatever it is we all are.

A person is a collection of needs and wants, motivations and habits.
A person is a machine made of veins and nerves and flesh and bones.
A person is a sum of their output to the world, the cultural mark they leave, the difference they make or not.
A person is a soul to be saved, a sacrifice to be made.

A poem is a piece of art.
A poem is a list of letters that make up sounds.
A poem is a grammatical structure.
A poem is a pipe. 1
A poem is a message that may or may not run as intended, but we think it’s worth transmitting either way.

So here we are.
